Proofivy app for iPhone and iPad

Proofivy is a layer of trust for the internet. Blockchains provide us with new tools for verification and storing of data. They have been used to keep track of crypto coins, creating an immutable ledger that everyone trusts, for a while now. The same technology can be used to keep track of data in general.

Proofivy lets users commit hashes of data to the blockchain, an immutable and timestamped ledger of truth. Proofivy makes it easy for researchers, journalists and anyone, to prove the creation and possession of data, even before they are ready to share it, and to store and share untamperable data.

The Proofivy app lets you:
- Calculate Content Identifiers (ipfs CIDs) which contain the content’s cryptographic hash
- Commit CIDs to the blockchain without the need for a web3 wallet
- Commit plain text message to the blockchain

The Proofivy iOS app uses the Optimism blockchain. Committed data is written to Ethereum through transaction calldata (check out our website for more info). Proofivy is a member of the Content Authenticity Initiative (CAI).
